As a photojournalist, Don's assignments have taken him from local school yards to the Arabian Gulf. His coverage of breaking news in San Diego, along with his portraiture, food photography, and coverage of sporting events has been published worldwide. His photography has appeared in Life, Sports Illustrated, The New York Post, and USA Today. Don brings a passion for this art, which started in high school and college, and then continued as a Naval Aerial photographer and finally his work with the Union-Tribune.

His unique vision for nature and travel photography is evident in the several travel articles and seminars he has produced. His "one of a kind" photograph of golfer Jack Nicklaus making his career ending birdie putt at St. Andrews Scotland shows his dedication to his work. Don scouted a position and waited 2 hours to take the historic photograph. Click here to visit JacksLastPutt.com.

Don has proved his ability to produce quality work under stringent deadlines. He has shown his dedication to stories, by photographing some that took years to complete.
